Limetree Theatre / Belltable Artist in Residence

Our Co-AD has been announced as the Limetree Theatre / Belltable Artist in Residence for 2026. 

"I'm so excited to be the Artist in Residence in my home town of Limerick. I've had the utmost privilege to have worked with two previous AIR recipients as a director during their residencies. I'm developing a new piece of theatre about Father Bernárd Lynch, who grew up in Ennis. He became known as the AIDS priest and his story of defiance against the homophobia of the Catholic Church and the FBI during the 80's is fascinating and humbling. I'll be spending the year researching, interviewing Bernárd and collaborating withe some brilliant artists as I develop this piece. Thank you to the Lime Tree and Belltable team for the investment."
