I Do returns with fresh eyes on love, family, and chaos in the final ten minutes before a wedding.

Step into six rooms of a working hotel, each a jigsaw piece revealing a different view of the same tense moment in time. The best man’s last-minute speech is floundering, the bride’s caught between nerves and expectation, and family secrets ripple beneath the surface

Split into small groups, you’ll move between rooms, following intimate, overlapping stories - from old flames to hidden pregnancy tests. Audience members become voyeurs in a fully immersive experience where every glance, touch, and whispered secret counts.

Dante or Die invites you to be a guest at the beautifully messy build-up to ‘I do’ - where love and havoc collide in an unforgettable theatrical event.

For each performance of I Do, audiences experience the story in small groups moving through different rooms. We can’t guarantee you’ll be with your party - but that’s part of the fun! We encourage you to explore separately for a more surprising, personal experience of the show.

Running time: 1h 30m (no interval)
Age guidance: 14+ (contains some partial nudity and scenes of intimacy)
Accessibility: All performances are captioned. For more information about accessibility and booking a captioned slot please see venue websites.

This is a promenade show taking place across six hotel rooms where you'll be standing most of the time. If you have any access needs, please email the venue box office.

I Do is presented in partnership with Barbican, South Street Reading and Lowry, with lead sponsorship from Malmaison Hotels.

The production is generously supported by Arts Council England and International Music & Art Foundation.

I Do was originally co-commissioned by the Almeida Festival and South Street Reading.
